Support

How can we help?

Email support@example.com and a person will answer within one business day. Or use the forms below.

Managing or canceling your subscription

If you subscribed in the iPhone app, it's billed by Apple: open Settings › your name › Subscriptions to change plans or cancel. If you subscribed on the web, open Account › Manage subscription for your Stripe billing portal. Either way, unlocked books stay in your library after you cancel.

Refunds and returns

Unlocks and purchases are final — every book's first chapters are free to read or hear before you decide, and authors are paid on every unlock. Subscription fees aren't refunded for partial periods. We always refund charges made in error or duplicated — email us. Purchases billed by Apple are subject to Apple's own refund policy at reportaproblem.apple.com. Full policy in the Terms.

Audiobooks: samples, unlocking and listening offline

Books with a headphones badge have an audiobook edition, labeled AI-narrated or narrated by a named person. Listen to the sample chapters free from the book page. The audiobook costs 2 unlocks (1 if you already unlocked the text), or the author's price — less if you own the text — and the text comes with it. In the player, tap Download to keep it on your device; the mini bar at the bottom keeps playing while you browse, and the lock screen and headphones control it. Progress syncs between the app and the website.

Restoring purchases on a new phone

Sign in with the same Apple ID, then open the paywall and tap Restore purchases. Your library is tied to your account, not the device.

Who writes the books, and what do the labels mean?

Independent authors — some write every line themselves, some work with AI, and some publish AI-written prose they planned, selected and edited. Every book says which on its page: Human-written (no AI in the prose), Human-written · AI-assisted, AI-drafted · human-edited, or AI-written · human-curated, plus any models used. You can filter Browse and Search by it. The label is a promise from the author; if you think one is wrong, report the book below and a person will read it.

Who can rate a book?

Only readers who unlocked it and read at least a quarter of it. That is far enough to have an opinion, and far enough to say so if you couldn't finish — those reviews count too. Ratings are what move a book onto the reader-verified shelf.

Mature (18+) content

Mature books are hidden unless you opt in from Account on the web, where you confirm your date of birth. The iPhone app links you there; the setting itself lives on the web.

Deleting your account, or downloading your data

Both are under Account in the app: "Download" gives you a JSON file of everything we hold about you; "Delete my account" removes it all. Deletion is permanent; unlocked books are not transferable.

Getting paid as an author

Set up payouts from your Write dashboard. Stripe collects your bank details and tax form — we never see them — and we pay on the 1st of each month once you've earned $25. Statements are on the dashboard. Details in the Author Agreement.

Copyright notices (DMCA)

If you believe a book infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at dmca@example.com or [Agent name, mailing address], including the work, the location of the material, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you're authorized to act. We remove on valid notice and forward counter-notices as the law requires.

Report content

See something that shouldn't be here?

Every book has a Report option in the app. You can also report here. Reports go to a person at novelopapp@gmail.com, and reporters are never identified to authors.

Reports go to novelopapp@gmail.com — you can email that address directly instead.
